In a tactical race lasting 45mins, Joe broke away with 2 riders at the halfway point and the three worked together to extend their lead over the pack.  Joe attacked with 300 meters to go and cruised home for victory. There will no racing next weekend because he will be in Manchester on a Talent Team track  camp.

On Thursday afternoon my mom, another german rider and me travelled to holland to my coachs place, so that we had only a 2 hours drive to kortrijk on friday. I was really exited for the race because it was the first race after a long time, and the first race on my new pure bicycle. Even if I had expected a bit more flow from the track, the friday afternoon training went well.

Saturday morning I just chilled with some other german guys in the hotel, made rocovery rides and watched some challenge races later.

As our motos started in the evening I was really focused on the race and had a good feeling. I finished my motos with 2,1,1 and got a better track feeling after every moto. As the Junior women class had no quarter or semi, I had a long break until the finals started. There, I was standing on line 2 just right next to my team mate simone christensen. We both had a very good gate and went to the first turn almost side by side. As I had the outside she passed me and a french girl came trough as well. I went to the 2nd turn on position nr.2 and finally brought it to the finish line.

The Sunday Race was almost the same except that I finished my motos with 1,1,1. As I got second the day before, I wanted to repeat or even make this good result better. In the final Simone and me had again the best gates and went to the first turn. It was really a neck-on-neck race until the finish line. I finished again 2nd and was satisfied with my result.

But I enjoyed not only the races. Also the time in our 1step2win team tent was great as i had a really good support by my coach martin velden and of course also by the pure bicycle company.

Now looking forward to the next race wich will be the indoor race in Caen / FR at the end of February.

We left Thursday at 16.00, and took a sleep over on the way to Kortrijk. Friday morning we left Germany, and were in Kortrijk at noon.

Here we started to check in at our hotel, found something to eat and then took of to the track! The track’s design looked cool, I liked it. But you could see that the track had some soft spots. I stayed positive, and was excited to race the track. It was my first euro round where i felt 100 % ready, because of my injury last year, so couldn’t wait!

After the training I felt good, the 3rd straight was pretty soft, and 2nd straight had some soft spots. But i really liked the 1st straight, because it was hard and fast!

Euro Round 7: I had a good training up to the race, and felt fast! I won all my motos, and felt strong! After I had to wait for the final, where I also took the first place! I was soo happy, only my 2nd win in my whole junior career.

Euro Round 8: Results was exactly the same as sunday, but in the final me and my teammate Nadja was fighting more for the 1st place, so it was a really cool final!

So this is the best result i have ever had, and I am so glad to have made a double win!

I didn’t like the track at all. soft and slow. but in the end it was better than riding outside in snow and rain. won Saturday so i guess i were looking forward to race Sunday, and see if i could take one more win. but got a second and i was okay with that. it were a okay race beside the track was that bad. hope they are going to fix that next year..
