EA Pure Racing’s team rider Arran was sent our new titanium 4x frame, and asked to put it through its paces. So from initial build to shredding berms, he’s his thoughts!

I picked up the first Pure Four X Ti frame; ready to be built up for its maiden test ride! After nearly taking my head off, as I picked it up this super light frame I couldn’t wait to build it up and ride it!

The build went super smooth; chain alignment bang on and everything just slid onto the frame (makes a change) and it was at last time to ride the machine!

Even though I was sideways I could just put the power back down and shoot out the exit of the corner!

After a quick loop round my local woods to see if my mechanical skills were still up to par, it was apparent I needed something a little more challenging – Chicksands 4X track!

Arriving at Chicksands and reacquainting myself with the track and my new ride; I turned up the speed dial. The guys at Pure said the horizontal stiffness in the back end would mean less power lost, due to the frame flexing, and man you could tell! The bike was like a rocket out of the gate and to the first jump.

Despite the corners having an inch of loose sand on them the bike was really stable and easy to control; it was a wicked feeling knowing that even though I was sideways I could just put the power back down and shoot out the exit of the corner.

It made light work of the Chicksands trails section too!

In the air the frame continued to impress feeling nice and light and easy to manoeuvre; it made light work of the Chicksands trails section too! So after a sweet days riding I cannot wait for the next time I get to shred some hill or 4X track!

A junior version has been made too! So if there are some furure stars out there, you can have one made to order.
