Some of the EA Pure Racing team riders and BMX World Champion Shanaze Reade, have been testing and racing the new 2011 Pure Titanium BMX frame. Initial feedback is that Pure have been able to improve on the existing frame; making it quicker out of the gate along with a reduction in overall weight. There is also a noticeable improvement in how balanced the bike feels in the air.

You will notice some visual changes to the 2011 BMX frame. Some of these changes have been made following feedback and `wish lists` from riders. The firstly and most noticeable change is the straight seat tube; riders wanted to move their seats up and down (warm-ups and cool-downs) and the curved seat tube restricted the amount of movement available. The curved seat tube had allowed us to create a stronger interaction between the down tube and seat post. Pure have managed to maintain these properties, but incorporate a straight seat post.

The top tube has been reduced in size and ovalised in the horizontal plane only, passing through the seat post in a continuous arch to the drop out. This has improved the stiffness throughout the entire frame, which plays a major role in getting the most from the rider’s initial pedal power on the gate. In addition to this, the chain clearance is much improved.

The chain stays have been modified to provide even greater clearance between the riders heal and frame.
So for 2011 Pure has listened to what riders want in a top end race frame, incorporated these and improved on an already class leading design. If you want the edge, choose Pure!
