titanium 4X frame design

Following the same ethos as the Pure BMX Ti frame the Pure 4x Ti frame has been designed to reduce power loss and improve acceleration and handling. These design features are explained below:

  1. Horizontally ovalised top tube and down tube wrap around the head tube to form a large junction area which gives additional strength compared to traditional interactions (that typically only connect to the rear of the head tube).

  2. The top tube is curved to form an interaction area at the head tube and seat tube greater than if it were straight. The seat tube in punched thought the top tube; this increases the surface weld area resulting in additional strength and greater horizontal stiffness throughout the frame.

  3. The seat stays butt up to the top tube at an acute angle to increase the surface weld area and improve contact strength, therefore maintaining the horizontal stiffness throughout the frame.

  4. The seat and chain stays have been stress graded; this gives the frame vertical compliance (will absorb large heavy impacts) while keeping the horizontal stiffness. This reduces torsional flexing and therby reducing power loss through the frame.
